Dawn is responsible for day-to-day operations of Crown Benefits: accounting, payroll, purchasing, administrative support, and human resources.
She also ensures customer benefit programs run smoothly and cost-effectively. She ensures that company controls/procedures are understood and followed by all employees, and that Crown can provide top end service for customer and clients with maximum effectiveness.
Dawn is the point of contact for most of Crown’s vendors, and frequently facilitates communication between the firm and its clients as well. Dawn has 30 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative and financial management. Prior to joining Crown Benefits Group in 2007, she held similar responsibilities at a certified public accounting practice.
Andrea is the company’s Senior Customer Relations Specialist and serves as a day-to-day liaison with Crown’s clients.
Andrea has worked for Crown Benefits for almost two decades, providing superior customer service. She assists in employee benefits administration, open enrollments, provides support to employees with claim resolution, and takes pride in developing strong client relationships.
Sherri joined Crown Benefits in 2006.
She provides excellent customer service in a friendly and efficient manner. Sherri has a willingness to do what needs to be done to get answers for our members, and that is key when providing the kind of service our members have come to expect. Sherri also cheerfully assists management and sales in various Crown projects and presentations.
As an Account Executive, Christine brings an extensive background in health insurance sales to Crown Benefits.
She joined the company in September 2006 after spending five years at Univera Healthcare (an Excellus Company), consistently increasing her role during her tenure. Prior to Univera Healthcare, Christine worked for 4 years at Randy Shepard and Associates (Warranty Administrators), as an office manager.
Sue joined Crown Benefits in 2017 as the Senior Sales Representative for Small Groups. With 15 years experience in the Small Group Market with BlueCross BlueShield of WNY, Sue brings a wealth of knowledge in HSA, HRA & FSA as well as COBRA administration.
Paul brings over 29 years of business expertise to the company. After earning both a business and a law degree (Texas A&M, South Texas School of Law), Paul served as a tax law specialist for McDonald-Douglas in Washington, D.C. and later served as a budget analyst in the Office of Management and Budget during the Reagan administration. In 1990, he founded Crown Benefits Group, Inc. headquartered in Western New York. Today, Crown Benefits Group, Inc. is one of the largest organizations of its kind in the Western New York area, with annual premium volume in excess of $120 million. In addition to being well-versed in all types of plan designs and funding arrangements, Paul is the architect of the company’s service designs and informational systems. Throughout the health care reform debate, Paul worked diligently on behalf of his clients to advocate for their interests, and has continued to generate ground-breaking projects for both the State of New York and NYC.
Tony joined Crown Benefits in July 2005 and has over two decades of experience working locally and nationally in the self-funded and experience rated health care arena.
Tony has keen insights into issues such as funding alternatives, Rx strategies, stop loss policies, and benefit implementation. He has been very successful working with unions, municipalities, as well as private and public sector clients.
His strong belief in educating management and union leaders on the health care industry, results in jointly designed benefit plans that are tailored to the needs of the group as well as the subscribers themselves.
Hugh has been with Crown Benefits since 2008 and is responsible for all aspects of services for Crown’s Southern Tier clients.
Prior to joining Crown he was Executive Director of the Jamestown Area Labor- Management Committee and President of the National Labor-Management Association. He has extensive labor-management and human resource experience. In addition, he coordinates Crown’s workplace wellness/risk reduction employer services. He is responsible for Crown’s on-line health and wellness and informational newsletters.
Todd brings almost two decades of experience in large employer group health insurance to Crown Benefits. Todd joined the company in 2017. Prior to joining Crown, Todd was an Account Executive for HealthNow (the parent company of BlueCross BlueShield of WNY) for 19 years. During his tenure, Todd worked with both local and national clients and consultants. Todd has considerable experience in large employer group insurance and benefits. Additionally, Todd has extensive knowledge in alternate funding arrangements, benefit implementation and stop loss insurance.
